The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Anton Munteanu got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cazimir Tufescu got free with Emilian Feteanu in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th match minute, New York Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Macamete to maneuver through the defense. Emanuel Encescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Cărtărescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilian Feteanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benni Farbøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorginho Queiroz in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Encescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the game, Jorginho Queiroz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emanuel Encescu. Jorginho Queiroz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. Jorginho Queiroz scored 0-15 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Encescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd minute, Ştefan Coporan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Politehnica Iasi's David Cărtărescu got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ştefan Coporan kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. New York Red Bulls's Emanuel Encescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Queiroz in the 95th minute of play. Politehnica Iasi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
