The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toader Apostol during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Politehnica Iasi booed when Arabesque -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Apostol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilian Feteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Stoicescu in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Jan Trzenzalski put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Albert Comișel. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Iacob Stoicescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arabesque -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Iacob Stoicescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Feteanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albert Comișel made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Jan Trzenzalski sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute Iacob Stoicescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Feteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iacob Stoicescu scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilian Feteanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iacob Stoicescu in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Feteanu saved Politehnica Iasi from getting behind. Albert Comișel made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Jan Trzenzalski sent off a good shot on target. Albert Comișel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jorginho Queiroz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Tiberiu Dulgherescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Politehnica Iasi's Jan Trzenzalski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albert Comișel. Albert Comișel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iacob Stoicescu was the one to do the kick off. Albert Comișel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Dulgherescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Emilian Feteanu made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Iacob Stoicescu sent off a good shot on target. Jorginho Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iacob Stoicescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Emilian Feteanu made a huge save. In the 73rdth minute of the game Iacob Stoicescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Politehnica Iasi's Emilian Feteanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Arosculesei kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Albert Comișel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Trzenzalski, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 80 minutes of play, Politehnica Iasi's Jan Trzenzalski made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Comișel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Arabesque -MM-'s Iacob Stoicescu got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Jorginho Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albert Comișel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorginho Queiroz went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. 93 minutes into the game, Jan Trzenzalski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Albert Comișel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorginho Queiroz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albert Comișel having to make a save. Politehnica Iasi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
