In the 24thth minute of the game Damian Gugea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Politehnica Iasi's Emilian Feteanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Politehnica Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Sichitiu to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes Politehnica Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Sichitiu. Celedonio Rayman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emilian Feteanu came out and tried to block the shot, but Celedonio Rayman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Margus Valt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Delta83 Tulcea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Politehnica Iasi the free kick. After 43 played minutes FC Delta83 Tulcea got a freekick which was hit by Margus Valt. FC Delta83 Tulcea's Arminas Kiudulas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Trzenzalski in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute Matei Lixandru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Feteanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celedonio Rayman made a kick off. Emilian Feteanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 傅烽彬 in the 51st minute of the match. Arminas Kiudulas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Trzenzalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Delta83 Tulcea's Aurel Cârlan was substituted for 傅烽彬. In the 64th minute of the match Politehnica Iasi got a corner. FC Delta83 Tulcea's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marek Lamczyk ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Trzenzalski in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arminas Kiudulas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Politehnica Iasi were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after FC Delta83 Tulcea's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marek Lamczyk took the corner. Politehnica Iasi's Marek Lamczyk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arminas Kiudulas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Emilian Feteanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Rayman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matei Lixandru in the 91st minute of play forced Politehnica Iasi's goalkeeper Emilian Feteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iustinian Vişoianu fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Politehnica Iasi's protests and gave Iustinian Vişoianu a yellow card for diving instead. Emilian Feteanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Gugea in the 94th minute of play.
