New York Red Bulls's Panait Cismarescu got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Mitu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Buricea in the 7th minute of the match. Iacob Buricea scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Mitu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Mitu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Buricea in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute Iacob Buricea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Mitu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Mitu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Buricea in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, Iacob Stoicescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 24 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Ion Neguțu. Vlad Zotincă spun around in front of the goal 27 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Arabesque -MM-'s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iacob Stoicescu got free with Manole Iriza in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Stoicescu came free, but Manole Iriza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute New York Red Bulls were awarded a corner. Panait Cismarescu went to the cornerflag to take it. New York Red Bulls's Manole Iriza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iacob Stoicescu in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Arabesque -MM- defense, Iacob Buricea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Mitu. The Arabesque -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Mitu should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iacob Buricea in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Mitu saved Arabesque -MM- from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iacob Buricea was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Ion Neguțu. Manole Iriza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Stoicescu in the 55th minute of play. David Mitu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Buricea in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Zotincă in the 65th minute of play forced Arabesque -MM-'s goalkeeper David Mitu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Arabesque -MM-'s Narcis Bara got a free kick in the 70th minute. David Mitu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Cismarescu in the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iacob Buricea in the 73rd minute of play forced Arabesque -MM-'s goalkeeper David Mitu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Mitu made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Iacob Buricea sent off a good shot on target. Manole Iriza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augustin Rânceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iacob Buricea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but David Mitu made a huge save. After 91 minutes, Iacob Stoicescu made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. New York Red Bulls's Manole Iriza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Arabesque -MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New York Red Bulls were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
