Rogelio Inautzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Costin Giugiuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shi Li's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costin Giugiuc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by A.C. Milan's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dan Petrescu was slow to take the kick. During this time Galati Harbour Cats's players had a chance to rest. In the 33rd minute of the match Galati Harbour Cats got a corner. A.C. Milan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dan Petrescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Costin Giugiuc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Li in the 34th minute of the match. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Lovera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute of the match A.C. Milan got a corner. Galati Harbour Cats's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Remus Pinatel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led A.C. Milan's John Lovera to a score. 3-0 in the 37th minute. Costin Giugiuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Li in the 40th minute of play. A.C. Milan's Costin Giugiuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Li in the 43rd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Flavius Dragotescu in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Galati Harbour Cats's Valeriu Zdrobiş. 71 minutes into the match, Galati Harbour Cats's Rogelio Inautzi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costin Giugiuc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute Shi Li shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Giugiuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. After a rather tough play, Galati Harbour Cats's Claudiu Manolescu got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 82nd minute Aurelio Mederi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shi Li could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Costin Giugiuc made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Emil Gheară managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Gheară was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavian Soare breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A.C. Milan's Costin Giugiuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Inautzi in the 93rd minute of play. Galati Harbour Cats's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
