The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Adam Vârnav could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Ciprian Tătăruşanu however easily saved by the left post. Remus Pinczewskis short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Ciprian Tătăruşanu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 7 minutes into the match, Maramures-MM-'s goalkeeper Ciprian Tătăruşanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Vârnav. Maramures-MM-'s Ciprian Tătăruşanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Postelnicescu in the 9th minute of play. 蒋誉朋 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th match minute, Tornadele Siret was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Mutu to maneuver through the defense. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rik Sligter in the 26th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rik Sligter in the 43rd minute of play forced Tornadele Siret's goalkeeper Ricardinho Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Maroš Rychtář managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maramures-MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Maroš Rychtář was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Maramures-MM- made a substitution. Cornel Gorgan replaced 蒋誉朋. Ciprian Tătăruşanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remus Pinczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Maramures-MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vladislav Trúpchev ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tornadele Siret's Vladislav Trúpchev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ciprian Tătăruşanu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tornadele Siret's Ricardinho Lopes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Tornadele Siret from getting a goal against them. Ciprian Tătăruşanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Vârnav in the 97th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
