When Gyepüpataka's Antonio Paredes in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 22nd minute Shi Li shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tibor Guzy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavian Soare made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Paredes in the 23rd minute. Gyepüpataka's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antonio Paredes in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Calomfir got free with Octavian Soare in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tibor Guzy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Li, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Galati Harbour Cats's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dan Petrescu in the 36th minute. When Shi Li came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Galati Harbour Cats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shi Li couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 40th minute of play forced Gyepüpataka's goalkeeper Tibor Guzy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Shi Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gyepüpataka's Tibor Guzy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ştefan Sticlaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tibor Guzy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Almajan in the 58th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Galati Harbour Cats booed when Gyepüpataka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Almajan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gyepüpataka's Valer Bădiță was substituted for Péter Miklós. After 62 played minutes Gyepüpataka got a freekick which was hit by Anton Almajan. With his leg Tibor Guzy managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Shi Li had several of the Gyepüpataka's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Tibor Guzy as he didn't even see the shot coming. Filip Calomfir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Galati Harbour Cats's zone, Martin Voicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Soare came out of the goal and Martin Voicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shi Li received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tibor Guzy came out and tried to block the shot, but Shi Li slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 73rd minute. Tibor Guzy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ştefan Sticlaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Aurel Negrilă made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Galati Harbour Cats's Claudiu Manolescu. 80 minutes into the match, Gyepüpataka's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Li came free, but Tibor Guzy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute of the match Galati Harbour Cats got a corner. Gyepüpataka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dan Petrescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Shi Li in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tibor Guzy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tibor Guzy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Li in the 85th minute of the match. Tibor Guzy was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Shi Li capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shi Li really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Filip Calomfir struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Octavian Soare didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyepüpataka. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Li in the 92nd minute of play forced Gyepüpataka's goalkeeper Tibor Guzy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ştefan Sticlaru charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ştefan Sticlaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Galati Harbour Cats getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ştefan Sticlaru hit a great ball. The Galati Harbour Cats supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galati Harbour Cats would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
