Jimmy James charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimmy James the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Prevaleni CS-BTF booed when Explosiv Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy James didn't get a good kick on the ball. Explosiv Cluj-Napoca's Lino Gabler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nae Miniș in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Teodor Ciuvică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xu Yao Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodor Ciuvică got free with Xu Yao Feng in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vlad Zgîrţa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xu Yao Feng having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Nae Miniș notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Explosiv Cluj-Napoca's Lino Gabler. Lino Gabler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xu Yao Feng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodor Ciuvică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xu Yao Feng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Ciuvică, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Prevaleni CS-BTF's Xu Yao Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidiu Udrişte in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Explosiv Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Nae Miniș came free, but Lino Gabler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cristinel Bogdan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Explosiv Cluj-Napoca protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cristinel Bogdan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Explosiv Cluj-Napoca's Cristinel Bogdan got a free kick in the 49th minute.

The wind increased when Vlad Zgîrţa made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Jimmy James shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xu Yao Feng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nae Miniș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Explosiv Cluj-Napoca's Lino Gabler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Shu Zhi in the 73rd minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Gabler made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Nae Miniș sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Explosiv Cluj-Napoca booed when Prevaleni CS-BTF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narcis Bociort didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Prevaleni CS-BTF's zone, Teodor Ciuvică stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xu Yao Feng came out of the goal and Teodor Ciuvică tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
