Buffalo Timişoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihnea Gorgan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alf Tanner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alisson Becker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franky Ooms fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionuț Agusoaei having to interfere. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Văidianu in the 33rd minute of play. Alisson Becker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Tanner, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Buffalo Timişoara's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ionică Cucu was slow to take the kick. During this time Balavanis's players had a chance to rest. Alf Tanner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. A collision led to Balavanis getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alf Tanner hit a great ball. In the 67th minute of the match Dan Zdrobău shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ionuț Agusoaei showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Narcis Ichim's late challenge caught a Balavanis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narcis Ichim helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Narcis Ichim. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. Balavanis's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
