The Ares FC -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luca Jivulescu should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute Wieslaw Marud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luca Jivulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, FC Carlsberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Petrulean to maneuver through the defense. Baal Ares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without James Novak having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, FC Carlsberg's goal looked a bit too open when Baal Ares came free, but James Novak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baal Ares to make the kick off. FC Carlsberg's James Novak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baal Ares in the 54th minute of play. FC Carlsberg made a substitution. Adrían Addi replaced Aurelian Mirciu. FC Carlsberg's Lothaire Matthäus was substituted for Henrique Casado. In the 71st minute of the match Ares FC -MM- got a corner. FC Carlsberg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alin Brumaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. James Novak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baal Ares in the 73rd minute of the match. Adrían Addi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luca Jivulescu having to interfere. Ares FC -MM-'s Mugur Chiriac was substituted for Alin Brumaru. Luca Jivulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Neicu in the 87th minute of play. James Novak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Baal Ares's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see FC Carlsberg lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
