In the 23rd minute Baal Ares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Booth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ekber Merdan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Luca Jivulescu made a huge save. Ares FC -MM-'s Baal Ares got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luca Jivulescu made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Andre Huyterhoeven sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Ares FC -MM- were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ekber Merdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luca Jivulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekber Merdan in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ares FC -MM-'s zone, Ekber Merdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luca Jivulescu came out of the goal and Ekber Merdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ekber Merdan fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Huns's protests and gave Ekber Merdan a yellow card for diving instead. Ekber Merdan hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Ares FC -MM-'s Mugur Chiriac was substituted for Alin Brumaru. The Huns were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after Ares FC -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andre Huyterhoeven took the corner. After taking down the ball on The Huns's corner Radu Chesaru fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luca Jivulescu quite easily take care of the ball. Baal Ares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Carl Booth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ares FC -MM- eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
