Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Nicolaevca's zone, Aurel Barbăneagră stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bogdan Cercel came out of the goal and Aurel Barbăneagră tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurel Barbăneagră received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Bogdan Cercel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogdan Cercel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Barbăneagră, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. If Aurel Barbăneagră had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurel Barbăneagră fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Cercel having to interfere. Nicolaevca's Mihai Bumbac got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitalie Isac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Prutean having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilian Pricop during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emilian Pricop hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Aurel Barbăneagră came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the FC Chișinău fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurel Barbăneagră couldn't finish the play. Bogdan Cercel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Barbăneagră in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Aurel Barbăneagră got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitalie Isac's late challenge caught a FC Chișinău's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitalie Isac helped the player get up and apologised. FC Chișinău's Aurel Barbăneagră got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aurel Barbăneagră struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Bogdan Cercel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Chișinău. A collision led to Nicolaevca getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Victor Balaur hit a great ball.
If Ion Creangă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Gicu Plesca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nicolaevca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Chișinău the free kick. The supporters of FC Chișinău booed when Nicolaevca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gicu Plesca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tudor Prutean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihai Bumbac in the 64th minute of play. Bogdan Cercel was a little too slow when Aurel Barbăneagră got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-1. Bogdan Cercel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurel Barbăneagră in the 70th minute. With a little luck, Nicolaevca's Bogdan Cercel got control of the ball when Aurel Barbăneagră tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Gicu Plesca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Cercel made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Aurel Barbăneagră sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 89 minutes, Vitalie Isac managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nicolaevca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitalie Isac was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrian Istrate hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded FC Chișinău left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nicolaevca.
