In the 21st minute Aurel Barbăneagră shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Doga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Damian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tudor Prutean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Chișinău's Tudor Prutean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodor Arnãut in the 26th minute of play. When Emil Damian came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Cimislia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Damian couldn't finish the play. Emil Damian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Ruslan Buruianã managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cimislia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruslan Buruianã was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 31 played minutes FC Chișinău got a freekick which was hit by Emilian Pricop. After having played for 31 minutes, Emil Damian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cimislia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emil Damian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ion Creangă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Doga having to interfere. Emil Damian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tudor Prutean read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Eugen Speianu kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Mihail Doga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilian Pricop in the 39th minute of play. Tudor Prutean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodor Arnãut, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, FC Chișinău's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Damian came free, but Tudor Prutean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 46 minutes, Eugen Speianu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cimislia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugen Speianu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The FC Chișinău players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cimislia were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurel Barbăneagră made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Cimislia's goal looked a bit too open when David Beckham came free, but Mihail Doga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Cimislia getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Viorel Fratea hit a great ball. FC Chișinău's Tudor Prutean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Chișinău from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in FC Chișinău's zone, Teodor Arnãut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tudor Prutean came out of the goal and Teodor Arnãut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Chișinău's Tudor Prutean proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save FC Chișinău from getting a goal against them. Tudor Prutean stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruslan Buruianã's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The Cimislia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
