In the 11th match minute, FC Chișinău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Mârza to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Ion Creangă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stefan Plesca was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Aurel Barbăneagră received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Stefan Plesca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Plesca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Barbăneagră, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladimir Plugaru made a kick off. FC Chișinău's Tudor Prutean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Plugaru in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Virgiliu Fratea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Prutean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihail Isac in the 59th minute of play forced FC Chișinău's goalkeeper Tudor Prutean to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudor Prutean didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihail Isac went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Stefan Plesca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Barbăneagră, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. FC Chișinău's Aurel Barbăneagră got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, FC Chișinău's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir Plugaru came free, but Tudor Prutean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aurel Barbăneagră had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Haiduc Bumbata's Virgiliu Fratea got a free kick in the 96th minute. FC Haiduc Bumbata walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
