Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Dacia's Simion Luncasu in the 12th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bogdan Cercel was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Nicolaevca through an amazing save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Brãgutã in the 19th minute of play forced Nicolaevca's goalkeeper Bogdan Cercel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Cercel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simion Luncasu in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Dacia booed when Nicolaevca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolae Iordache didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Dacia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Postolache to maneuver through the defense. Nicolaevca's Teodor Silvestru got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sergiu Dobândã received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bogdan Cercel came out and tried to block the shot, but Sergiu Dobândã slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 37th minute. A hard shot 42 in the game by Grigore Vrânceanu from a close distance when the talented Bogdan Cercel managed to make a qualified save. Nicolaevca's players were relieved. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grigore Vrânceanu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nicolaevca's Mihai Bumbac dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 55th minute Grigore Vrânceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Cercel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergiu Dobândã sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolaevca's Bogdan Cercel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Vrânceanu in the 65th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Ion Stegaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Astigar came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nicolaevca's Vasile Delinschi. But to his dismay, Vasile Delinschi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After some careless play in the Nicolaevca defense, Grigore Vrânceanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogdan Cercel. The Nicolaevca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogdan Cercel should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute Simion Luncasu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Cercel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Cercel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simion Luncasu in the 83rd minute of play. Nicolaevca's Bogdan Cercel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Vrânceanu in the 85th minute of play. Bruno Astigar made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Victor Balaur sent off a good shot on target. In the 94thth minute of the game Grigore Vrânceanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nicolaevca's Bogdan Cercel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nicolaevca's goalkeeper Bogdan Cercel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nicolaevca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
