When Valentin Nazaria came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Mîndresti UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Nazaria couldn't finish the play. FC Haiduc Bumbata's Stefan Plesca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruslan Posticã in the 6th minute of play. Ilie Inculet's late challenge caught a FC Haiduc Bumbata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ilie Inculet helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Plugaru in the 21st minute of play forced Mîndresti UFC's goalkeeper Grigore Curcã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Haiduc Bumbata's Octavian Butuc got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Torsten Behloch took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stefan Plesca. FC Haiduc Bumbata's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of FC Haiduc Bumbata booed when Mîndresti UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatolie Urmasu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Valentin Nazaria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mîndresti UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Nazaria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Plesca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ruslan Posticã had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Plesca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruslan Posticã in the 32nd minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruslan Posticã to strike the kick off in the second half. Ruslan Posticã fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Plesca having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Iurie Cotofanã hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Simion Proca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruslan Posticã received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Stefan Plesca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruslan Posticã struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Stefan Plesca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mîndresti UFC. Simion Proca took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grigore Curcã. Grigore Curcã dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 78th match minute, Mîndresti UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Behloch to maneuver through the defense. Teodor Vrednic's late challenge caught a FC Haiduc Bumbata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Vrednic helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Mîndresti UFC got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Vrednic. In the 83rd minute, Valentin Nazaria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimir Plugaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Haiduc Bumbata's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
