FC Salcuta's Ion Cazacu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simion Luncasu in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Salcuta's zone, Grigore Vrânceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ion Cazacu came out of the goal and Grigore Vrânceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 26 minutes on the clock, Leonid Micineanu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Leonid Micineanu hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Dacia's goalkeeper Bruno Astigar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Carp. In the 33rd minute, FC Salcuta's Ovidiu Cecan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruno Astigar. Bruno Astigar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Grigore Vrânceanu put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ion Cazacu. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ion Urmasu to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Pricop in the 53rd minute of the match. Nicolae Bâtcã hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Ion Cazacu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Simion Luncasu. 61 minutes into the match, FC Salcuta's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Vrânceanu came free, but Ion Cazacu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 played minutes, Dacia's Simion Luncasu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ion Cazacu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dacia reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Grigore Vrânceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dacia's supporters rose to their feet, but Grigore Vrânceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Cazacu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grigore Vrânceanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Ion Cazacu made a huge save. Dacia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Salcuta the free kick. Andrei Brãgutã kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Bruno Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Pricop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simion Luncasu's late challenge caught a FC Salcuta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simion Luncasu helped the player get up and apologised. Simion Luncasu kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Bruno Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ion Urmasu, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Grigore Vrânceanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Ion Cazacu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 90 minutes into the game, Ovidiu Cecan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grigore Vrânceanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Ion Cazacu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 94th minute, Grigore Vrânceanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ion Cazacu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3.
