Emilian Pricop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Cercel having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Emilian Pricop managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chișinău's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Pricop was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aurel Barbăneagră sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolaevca's Vitalie Isac got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tudor Prutean didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vitalie Isac went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Mihai Bumbac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodor Silvestru hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Bogdan Cercel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurel Barbăneagră in the 33rd minute. When Mihai Bumbac came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Nicolaevca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihai Bumbac couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute Aurel Barbăneagră shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Cercel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Iosif Cociu fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nicolaevca's protests and gave Iosif Cociu a yellow card for diving instead. After 75 minutes, Gicu Plesca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nicolaevca and the FC Chișinău players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Mihai Bumbac could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Tudor Prutean however easily saved by the left post. Vitalie Isac sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Vitalie Isac reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tudor Prutean. The goal made the score 0-2. After having played for 87 minutes, Aurel Barbăneagră managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chișinău's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurel Barbăneagră was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihai Bumbac got free with Tudor Prutean in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Barbăneagră in the 95th minute of play forced Nicolaevca's goalkeeper Bogdan Cercel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Nicolaevca were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Chișinău side.
