Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ion Urmasu kicked off to start the match. Liviu Medelean kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for FC Salcuta. Liviu Medelean stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bogdan Cercel. 0-1. Sergiu Pricop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bogdan Cercel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Salcuta booed when Nicolaevca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Balaur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Nicolae Bâtcã sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bogdan Cercel skillfully saved the ball. Gicu Plesca kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ion Urmasu in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bogdan Cercel saved Nicolaevca from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Nicolaevca's goal looked a bit too open when Ion Urmasu came free, but Bogdan Cercel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihai Bumbac got free with Ion Cazacu in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Vitalie Isac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nicolaevca's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitalie Isac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Cazacu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 42 minutes of play, FC Salcuta's Ion Urmasu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Cercel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Mihai Bumbac managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nicolaevca's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihai Bumbac was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ion Cazacu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitalie Isac to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Salcuta booed when Nicolaevca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitalie Isac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sergiu Pricop recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrian Macovei's late challenge caught a Nicolaevca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Macovei helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Nicolaevca booed when FC Salcuta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Macovei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Nicolaevca's Adrian Istrate got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, FC Salcuta's Liviu Medelean broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ion Cazacu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitalie Isac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes FC Salcuta got a freekick which was hit by Sergiu Pricop. 78 minutes into the match, Nicolaevca's Vitalie Isac sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ion Cazacu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Mihai Bumbac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Salcuta's Ion Cazacu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitalie Isac in the 90th minute of play. Adrian Macovei kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Nicolaevca's Mihai Bumbac got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The FC Salcuta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Salcuta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
