Ghitã Iovu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Anton Cãpraru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Rapid Bucuresti's Anton Cãpraru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cãtãlin Macovei in the 27th minute of play. Anton Cãpraru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Nazaria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Florin Triboi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dorin Pricop was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stãlinesti UFC's Dorin Pricop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Vornic in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Nazaria in the 45th minute of play forced FC Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper Anton Cãpraru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florin Triboi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dorin Pricop was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Viorel Tabãrã capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Viorel Tabãrã really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 56 minutes into the game, Viorel Tabãrã recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dorin Pricop. Viorel Tabãrã showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. After 59 minutes, Marius Burduja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rapid Bucuresti and the Stãlinesti UFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes FC Rapid Bucuresti got a freekick which was hit by Marius Burduja. In the 62nd minute Gheorghe Nazaria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Cãpraru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stãlinesti UFC's Ghitã Iovu got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ghitã Iovu in the 69th minute of play forced FC Rapid Bucuresti's goalkeeper Anton Cãpraru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th match minute, FC Rapid Bucuresti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Burduja to maneuver through the defense. Ghitã Iovu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Cãpraru having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Rapid Bucuresti defense, Ghitã Iovu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Cãpraru. The FC Rapid Bucuresti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Cãpraru should have stopped the shot. After 85 played minutes Stãlinesti UFC got a freekick which was hit by Marian Butuc. Anton Cãpraru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ghitã Iovu in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sergiu Stegaru kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dorin Pricop. That made the score 1-5 in the 94 minute of play.
