Ilmārs Kopāns might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Indulis Leitarts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgars Pleckens got free with Dāgs Budreckis in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Druvis Vērmanis in the 22nd minute of play forced Fk Kurzeme's goalkeeper Dāgs Budreckis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Modris Smukais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fk Kurzeme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Martiniania's Vitālijs Daubars got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes, Ilmārs Kopāns made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Martiniania's Indulis Leitarts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Martiniania's goal looked a bit too open when Ilmārs Kopāns came free, but Indulis Leitarts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Indulis Leitarts came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fk Kurzeme's Modris Smukais. But to his dismay, Modris Smukais quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Aleksandrs Krims hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Ilmārs Kopāns sped through Martiniania's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Indulis Leitarts. In the 40th minute, Edgars Pleckens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dāgs Budreckis. The goal made the score 1-6. 44 minutes into the match, Ilmārs Kopāns notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Martiniania's Indulis Leitarts. Indulis Leitarts was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Martiniania getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Edgars Pleckens hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-7 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Druvis Vērmanis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Adrians Girs fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Indulis Leitarts, passed just outside the right post. In the 58th minute, Ludis Engers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adrians Girs received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Indulis Leitarts came out and tried to block the shot, but Adrians Girs slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 61st minute. Edgars Pleckens kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 72 minutes, Ilmārs Kopāns made it 1-10 with a short kick to the right side. Martiniania's Indulis Leitarts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilmārs Kopāns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 minutes, Ilmārs Kopāns made it 1-11 with a short kick to the right side. Martiniania's Indulis Leitarts tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-12 when Ilmārs Kopāns sped through Martiniania's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Indulis Leitarts. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ilmārs Kopāns in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Indulis Leitarts saved Martiniania from getting behind. Fk Kurzeme's Modris Smukais got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Charlie Gardel fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fk Kurzeme's protests and gave Charlie Gardel a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Fk Kurzeme's Charlie Gardel got a free kick in the 97th minute. Fk Kurzeme's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
