Insane Raccoons FC's Mareks Vārpiņš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Dortāns in the 8th minute of play. Mareks Vārpiņš made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Ailenei in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the Insane Raccoons FC defense, Jimmy Svenningsted kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mareks Vārpiņš. The Insane Raccoons FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mareks Vārpiņš should have stopped the shot. FC Riga's Marin Ailenei got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Insane Raccoons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Svenningsted came free, but Mareks Vārpiņš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute FC Riga were awarded a corner. Jimmy Svenningsted went to the cornerflag to take it. Emanuel Ghiorman hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Marin Ailenei blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mareks Vārpiņš having to make a save. 24 minutes into the match, Insane Raccoons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Ailenei came free, but Mareks Vārpiņš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saivis Kikals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severīns Pirtslāva in the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to FC Riga getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Dāvis Pipiris hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Grigore Drăgan in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Saivis Kikals saved FC Riga from getting behind. When Insane Raccoons FC's Grigore Drăgan in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Riga's goalie prevented a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Severīns Pirtslāva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Saivis Kikals, 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, FC Riga's Marin Ailenei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mareks Vārpiņš narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute Severīns Pirtslāva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saivis Kikals saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Riga's Saivis Kikals played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severīns Pirtslāva in the 44th minute of play. Marin Ailenei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severīns Pirtslāva made a kick off. Pedro Luís Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saivis Kikals took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severīns Pirtslāva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Riga's Erlends Skurulis was substituted for Voldemārs Cariņš. Marin Ailenei in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mareks Vārpiņš, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Saivis Kikals showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Drăgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Marin Ailenei in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mareks Vārpiņš, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marin Ailenei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mareks Vārpiņš having to interfere. After 79 played minutes FC Riga got a freekick which was hit by Normunds Brencāns. Alex Volponi replaced Kaspars Jociņš. Sidnei Silveira's late challenge caught a Insane Raccoons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 played minutes FC Riga got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Silveira. Saivis Kikals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Fantini in the 95th minute of the match. FC Riga were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Insane Raccoons FC's much stronger midfield.
