Danas Cibulskis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eligijus Narutavičius having to interfere. When Albertas Marcinkus fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Druskininkai's protests and gave Albertas Marcinkus a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FK Druskininkai getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Albertas Marcinkus hit a great ball. In the 15th minute Rolandas Dabkevičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vydas Jakštys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eligijus Narutavičius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merūnas Šemeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A hard shot by Haroldas Petraitis from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Vydas Jakštys's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Merūnas Šemeta's late challenge caught a FK Druskininkai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Merūnas Šemeta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Merūnas Šemeta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naglis Griškus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the last second Vydas Jakštys throw himself and got hold of the ball when Rolandas Dabkevičius in the 33rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Naglis Griškus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, FBK Ansilupis's goal looked a bit too open when Rolandas Dabkevičius came free, but Vydas Jakštys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Danas Cibulskis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Zigmantas Jokubaitis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

FBK Ansilupis's Merūnas Šemeta got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Merūnas Šemeta off the ground. After 71 played minutes FBK Ansilupis got a freekick which was hit by Merūnas Šemeta. 72 minutes into the match, FK Druskininkai's Hubertas Sauliūnas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Naglis Griškus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of FBK Ansilupis's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FBK Ansilupis may have spent more time on the ball, but FK Druskininkai were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
