Spectators: 7776 (Terracing: 5833, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 155) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eigirdas Gricius started the match with the kick off. Jarūnas Adamonis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Vitoldas Mintauskas made a huge save. In the 6th minute Sigitas Božys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benediktas Mackėla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigitas Božys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benediktas Mackėla having to interfere. KUVALDA's Benediktas Mackėla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigitas Božys in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Eigirdas Gricius fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Eigirdas Gricius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinaras Inda kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Vitoldas Mintauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eigirdas Gricius in the 23rd minute of play. Donatas Byra hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Benediktas Mackėla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svajūnas Gežys in the 34th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, KUVALDA's goal looked a bit too open when Svajūnas Gežys came free, but Benediktas Mackėla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes KUVALDA got a freekick which was hit by Virginijus Nemunis. Svajūnas Gežys took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benediktas Mackėla. Benediktas Mackėla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sigitas Božys to make the kick off. If Sigitas Božys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svajūnas Gežys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benediktas Mackėla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Eigirdas Gricius struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Vitoldas Mintauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KUVALDA. Eigirdas Gricius recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Sigitas Božys fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Benediktas Mackėla, passed just outside the right post. In the 78th minute Jarūnas Adamonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitoldas Mintauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarūnas Adamonis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of KUVALDA booed when FC FERTIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvydas Liaugminas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 minutes, Arvydas Liaugminas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC FERTIS and the KUVALDA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 played minutes FC FERTIS got a freekick which was hit by Arvydas Liaugminas. In the 91st minute of the match Girkantas Tulčius shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vitoldas Mintauskas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
