Algitas Tamulis's late challenge caught a Legailiu FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Algitas Tamulis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd match minute, FK Sakal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algitas Tamulis to maneuver through the defense. Benjaminas Miknevičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalius Masaitis in the 3rd minute of the match. Eduardas Alkauskas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Bernardas Černiauskas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmundas Krepšta during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Legailiu FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundas Krepšta. Algitas Tamulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Bernardas Černiauskas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardas Černiauskas came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Sakal's Eduardas Alkauskas. But to his dismay, Eduardas Alkauskas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 16th minute Dalius Masaitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjaminas Miknevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dainius Pyragis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Lukas Bagūnas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjaminas Miknevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalius Masaitis in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Dalius Masaitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjaminas Miknevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalius Masaitis scored 2-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjaminas Miknevičius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the 52nd minute, Laimonas Buzelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Legailiu FC's Bernardas Černiauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardas Alkauskas in the 58th minute of play. The referee gave FK Sakal a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Algitas Tamulis, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Legailiu FC's Bernardas Černiauskas. 3-2. The supporters of FK Sakal booed when Legailiu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remigijus Giedraitis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardas Černiauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Algitas Tamulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Dalius Masaitis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benjaminas Miknevičius firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dalius Masaitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalius Masaitis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-3 in the 76th playminute. A collision led to FK Sakal getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Laimonas Buzelis hit a great ball. Dalius Masaitis came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benjaminas Miknevičius could save by the left post. After having played for 83 minutes, Algitas Tamulis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Sakal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Algitas Tamulis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Legailiu FC's Vytenis Gvozdas got a free kick in the 94th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Legailiu FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FK Sakal.
