In the 16thth minute of the game Algitas Tamulis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abshtaynen's Laurynas Juknys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Algitas Tamulis sped through Abshtaynen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Laurynas Juknys. The FK Sakal fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when FK Sakal's Algitas Tamulis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Algitas Tamulis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurynas Juknys was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Abshtaynen's Laurynas Juknys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardas Alkauskas in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardas Alkauskas in the 32nd minute of play forced Abshtaynen's goalkeeper Laurynas Juknys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Algitas Tamulis in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurynas Juknys saved Abshtaynen from getting behind. Laurynas Juknys didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eduardas Alkauskas went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. After 40 minutes of play, FK Sakal's Eduardas Alkauskas made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Laurynas Juknys was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eduardas Alkauskas might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurynas Juknys. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardas Alkauskas ran back to his position shaking his head. Eduardas Alkauskas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Laurynas Juknys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half FK Sakal were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardas Alkauskas was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Algitas Tamulis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Laurynas Juknys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilmantas Andriulaitis in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute Robertas Petreikis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjaminas Miknevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Abshtaynen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladas Juska to maneuver through the defense. If Eduardas Alkauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduardas Alkauskas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laurynas Juknys having to interfere. Benjaminas Miknevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Linas Dzemyda in the 70th minute of play. Laurynas Juknys made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilmantas Andriulaitis in the 71st minute. If Eduardas Alkauskas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Eduardas Alkauskas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurynas Juknys. Abshtaynen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardas Alkauskas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After 83 minutes, Eduardas Alkauskas made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Abshtaynen's Laurynas Juknys tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Algitas Tamulis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurynas Juknys was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Abshtaynen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Algitas Tamulis scored to the left of an out of position Laurynas Juknys, making the score, 0-9.
