Juozas Dagilis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Avelis having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Draustukas's zone, Juozas Dagilis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marius Avelis came out of the goal and Juozas Dagilis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klemensas Labuckas in the 12th minute of play forced Draustukas's goalkeeper Marius Avelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Klemensas Labuckas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marius Avelis was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in FC Joniskis's zone, Audrius Ganusauskas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonsas Kančelskis came out of the goal and Audrius Ganusauskas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Draustukas's goal looked a bit too open when Juozas Dagilis came free, but Marius Avelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Vaidotas Bagavičius recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfonsas Kančelskis. Vaidotas Bagavičius showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Vaidotas Bagavičius put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alfonsas Kančelskis. In the 43rd minute, Vaidotas Bagavičius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Draustukas's goalkeeper Marius Avelis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marius Avelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juozas Dagilis went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After 51 played minutes Draustukas got a freekick which was hit by Ovidijus Nenortas. After a rather tough play, Draustukas's Vydas Lipskis got a free kick in the 54th minute. Klemensas Labuckas struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Marius Avelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Joniskis. Juozas Dagilis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Marius Avelis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute of the match, Juozas Dagilis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marius Avelis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaidotas Bagavičius in the 80th minute of play forced FC Joniskis's goalkeeper Alfonsas Kančelskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 played minutes FC Joniskis got a freekick which was hit by Svajūnas Eigirdas. If Vaidotas Bagavičius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes of play, Draustukas's Vaidotas Bagavičius made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonsas Kančelskis was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Joniskis's Alfonsas Kančelskis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Audrius Ganusauskas in the 93rd minute of play. Alfonsas Kančelskis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaidotas Bagavičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Joniskis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Draustukas.
