Raimondas Kuodys was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Skrajojantys Olandai's goal looked a bit too open when Kastytis Norkūnas came free, but Lev Tolstoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimondas Kuodys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Žydrūnas Sasnauskas in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by UNITED Kaunas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tom Beugelsdijk was slow to take the kick. During this time Skrajojantys Olandai's players had a chance to rest. Raimondas Kuodys came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Skrajojantys Olandai's Siemen Vitus. But to his dismay, Siemen Vitus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of UNITED Kaunas booed when Skrajojantys Olandai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Žydrūnas Sasnauskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Siemen Vitus sped through UNITED Kaunas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raimondas Kuodys. Siemen Vitus spun around in front of the goal 28 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of UNITED Kaunas's goal. When Skrajojantys Olandai's Siemen Vitus in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UNITED Kaunas's goalie prevented a goal. Raimondas Kuodys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siemen Vitus in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Siemen Vitus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UNITED Kaunas's Raimondas Kuodys was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Žydrūnas Sasnauskas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skrajojantys Olandai's supporters crossed their fingers, but Žydrūnas Sasnauskas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Skrajojantys Olandai booed when UNITED Kaunas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislovas Vaitiekus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Siemen Vitus in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimondas Kuodys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Stanislovas Vaitiekus fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UNITED Kaunas's protests and gave Stanislovas Vaitiekus a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Skrajojantys Olandai's Tom Beugelsdijk tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. UNITED Kaunas's Klemensas Bazaras got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Siemen Vitus in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimondas Kuodys saved UNITED Kaunas from getting behind. Žydrūnas Sasnauskas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Skrajojantys Olandai's Siemen Vitus in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UNITED Kaunas's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klemensas Bazaras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lev Tolstoy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klemensas Bazaras, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Vaidotas Daktaras notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of UNITED Kaunas's Raimondas Kuodys. Raimondas Kuodys was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Skrajojantys Olandai's Siemen Vitus in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UNITED Kaunas's goalie prevented a goal. Lev Tolstoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klemensas Bazaras in the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of UNITED Kaunas booed when Skrajojantys Olandai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenonas Lukošaitis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Skrajojantys Olandai's Zenonas Lukošaitis got a free kick in the 64th minute. After recieving a nice pass, UNITED Kaunas's Raimundas Šernas tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With his leg Raimondas Kuodys managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Skrajojantys Olandai's Siemen Vitus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Raimundas Šernas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irmantas Sabeckas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Raimondas Kuodys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vaidotas Daktaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82nd play minutes Siemen Vitus shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Raimondas Kuodys and just under the crossbar into goal. If Vaidotas Daktaras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of UNITED Kaunas booed when Skrajojantys Olandai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irmantas Sabeckas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Žydrūnas Sasnauskas fired a really elegant long shot, but Raimondas Kuodys threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When Klemensas Bazaras came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the UNITED Kaunas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klemensas Bazaras couldn't finish the play. Siemen Vitus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimondas Kuodys having to interfere. The Skrajojantys Olandai supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skrajojantys Olandai would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
