Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, FK Rusva's Bronius Maziliauskas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Kristijonas Čiapas charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristijonas Čiapas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, one of FK Rusva:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FK Rusva. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for UNITED Kaunas. Raimundas Šernas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Modestas Pleskūnas. 0-1. After having played for 7 minutes, Klemensas Bazaras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UNITED Kaunas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klemensas Bazaras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, FK Rusva's Beržas Užbalis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimondas Kuodys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Beržas Užbalis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Raimondas Kuodys when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Beržas Užbalis in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raimondas Kuodys, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FK Rusva's Beržas Užbalis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 17 minutes, Vaidotas Gurskis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Rusva and the UNITED Kaunas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Vaidotas Gurskis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Modestas Pleskūnas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kastytis Norkūnas went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Klemensas Bazaras managed to get in a good position for a shot. UNITED Kaunas's supporters rose to their feet, but Klemensas Bazaras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modestas Pleskūnas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Klemensas Bazaras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UNITED Kaunas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in FK Rusva's zone, Klemensas Bazaras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modestas Pleskūnas came out of the goal and Klemensas Bazaras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klemensas Bazaras scored 1-5 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Modestas Pleskūnas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute Raimundas Šernas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Modestas Pleskūnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The UNITED Kaunas fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when UNITED Kaunas's Raimundas Šernas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half UNITED Kaunas were leading 1-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vakaris Matulionis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Kastytis Norkūnas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pranas Ulys fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK Rusva's protests and gave Pranas Ulys a yellow card for diving instead. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FK Rusva! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beržas Užbalis in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimondas Kuodys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Klemensas Bazaras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modestas Pleskūnas came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by UNITED Kaunas's Klemensas Bazaras. But to his dismay, Klemensas Bazaras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Modestas Pleskūnas made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Klemensas Bazaras sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Kastytis Norkūnas took a quick shot and it went in 1-10 without a chance for Modestas Pleskūnas to make any attempt to save it. Kastytis Norkūnas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Modestas Pleskūnas came out and tried to block the shot, but Kastytis Norkūnas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-12 in the 89th minute. Beržas Užbalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimondas Kuodys having to interfere. Klemensas Bazaras's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Modestas Pleskūnas firmly grabbed it by the left post.
