The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match, Robertas Achilas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmundas Sabaliauskas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 9th minute Juras Svetulevičius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egidijus Petukas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Nadruvis booed when FC Egydasas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldas Stravinskas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Juras Svetulevičius came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FC Egydasas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juras Svetulevičius couldn't finish the play. After having played for 26 minutes, Robertas Achilas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nadruvis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robertas Achilas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Robertas Achilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daumantas Navikas got free with Edmundas Sabaliauskas in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmundas Sabaliauskas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daumantas Navikas in the 34th minute. FC Egydasas's Edmundas Sabaliauskas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save FC Egydasas from getting a goal against them. In the 40th match minute, Nadruvis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bronislovas Gerdauskas to maneuver through the defense. FC Egydasas's Edmundas Sabaliauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daumantas Navikas in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Ignas Alekna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egidijus Petukas. Nadruvis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignas Alekna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gediminas Vainauskas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Bronislovas Gerdauskas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Egydasas's Edmundas Sabaliauskas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute, Vygandas Morkus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmundas Sabaliauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vygandas Morkus, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Nadruvis were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after FC Egydasas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Danas Pyragis took the corner. Nadruvis were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
