With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadas Obrikis in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Girkantas Bikas saved Legionas from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cãpraru in the 5th minute of play forced Legionas's goalkeeper Girkantas Bikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 6 minutes, Igor Cãpraru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK ATLANTAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Cãpraru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadas Obrikis in the 7th minute of play forced Legionas's goalkeeper Girkantas Bikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, Legionas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Paraíba to maneuver through the defense. Mantas Balabonas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Modestas Bložė, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tadas Obrikis in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Girkantas Bikas saved Legionas from getting behind. FK ATLANTAS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Augustas Vaitiekūnas in the 24th minute. The corner ended in Augustas Vaitiekūnas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Legionas's Girkantas Bikas did a great save. After some careless play in the Legionas defense, Tadas Obrikis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Girkantas Bikas. The Legionas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Girkantas Bikas should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Legionas getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rupertas Jančys hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Tadas Obrikis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Girkantas Bikas was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. In the 32nd minute Igor Cãpraru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Girkantas Bikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Tadas Obrikis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Girkantas Bikas was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. If Tadas Obrikis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mantas Balabonas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Girkantas Bikas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadas Obrikis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FK ATLANTAS's Tadas Obrikis got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadas Obrikis to make the kick off. Tadas Obrikis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mantas Balabonas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modestas Bložė, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Girkantas Bikas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadas Obrikis's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Girkantas Bikas was a little too slow when Tadas Obrikis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tadas Obrikis in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Girkantas Bikas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadas Obrikis in the 66th minute of play forced Legionas's goalkeeper Girkantas Bikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Girkantas Bikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadas Obrikis, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Igor Cãpraru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FK ATLANTAS were furious when Valentas Baravykas was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FK ATLANTAS! When Faustão Paraíba fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legionas's protests and gave Faustão Paraíba a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Legionas got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Paraíba. 91 minutes into the game, Anicetas Grigaliūnas threw the ball into play from the sideline. FK ATLANTAS's Eligijus Vaineikis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Anicetas Grigaliūnas in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FK ATLANTAS's Igor Cãpraru.
