Spectators: 9275 (Terracing: 6958, Seating: 2133, VIP seats: 184) FK ATLANTAS's Tadas Obrikis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Cristinel Eftimiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mantas Balabonas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FK ATLANTAS's Tadas Poškevičius got a free kick in the 5th minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Olaf Irion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olaf Irion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, FK ATLANTAS's goal looked a bit too open when Cristinel Eftimiu came free, but Mantas Balabonas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dovydas Aleknius in the 11th minute of play forced FK ATLANTAS's goalkeeper Mantas Balabonas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Eligijus Vaineikis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Wolves's Olaf Irion in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK ATLANTAS's goalie prevented a goal. Cristinel Eftimiu scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mantas Balabonas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algitas Daškevičius in the 23rd minute of play forced FK ATLANTAS's goalkeeper Mantas Balabonas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olaf Irion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mantas Balabonas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Eftimiu in the 27th minute of play. FK ATLANTAS's Mantas Balabonas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dovydas Aleknius in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentas Baravykas during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 40 minutes into the match, Cristinel Eftimiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mantas Balabonas. FK ATLANTAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristinel Eftimiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a rather tough play, FK ATLANTAS's Igor Cãpraru got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After the first half Wolves were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olaf Irion made a kick off. The supporters of Wolves booed when FK ATLANTAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadas Poškevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Cristinel Eftimiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristinel Eftimiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cristinel Eftimiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FK ATLANTAS's Mantas Balabonas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save FK ATLANTAS from getting a goal against them. Mantas Balabonas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olaf Irion in the 61st minute. When Tadas Poškevičius fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FK ATLANTAS's protests and gave Tadas Poškevičius a yellow card for diving instead. Tadas Poškevičius kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Olaf Irion was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 73rd minute, Wolves's Cristinel Eftimiu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mantas Balabonas. Mantas Balabonas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 76th match minute, Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Algitas Daškevičius to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th match minute, Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olaf Irion to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Cristinel Eftimiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mantas Balabonas. FK ATLANTAS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristinel Eftimiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Olaf Irion took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mantas Balabonas. Mantas Balabonas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. Wolves's Cristinel Eftimiu got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the FK ATLANTAS defense, Cristinel Eftimiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mantas Balabonas. The FK ATLANTAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mantas Balabonas should have stopped the shot.
