The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lars Hansen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daumantas Žiauberis in the 3rd minute of play. Jullian Elens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonas Mažeika having to interfere. Konstantinas Zinkevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Leonas Mažeika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Zhidelyay's goal looked a bit too open when Daumantas Žiauberis came free, but Lars Hansen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Neto made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 15thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Leonas Mažeika would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Petras Bračas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Leonas Mažeika made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Petras Bračas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonas Mažeika. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Petras Bračas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonas Mažeika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petras Bračas, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 47 minutes of play, Wolves's Daumantas Žiauberis made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lars Hansen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Neto was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Dacian Socoriceanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lars Hansen. Dacian Socoriceanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Zhidelyay's Agatas Dambauskas was substituted for Konstantinas Zinkevičius. Audrius Rekašius kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Olaf Irion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Lars Hansen made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Jullian Elens came free, but Leonas Mažeika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Zhidelyay got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Gärtner. Abel Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonas Mažeika having to interfere. Leonas Mažeika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Neto in the 84th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Þórlaugur Vignisson put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Leonas Mažeika. In the 91stth minute of the game Petras Bračas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wolves's Leonas Mažeika was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute, Petras Bračas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Neto in the 96th minute of play forced Wolves's goalkeeper Leonas Mažeika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
