After taking down the ball on Wolves's corner Cristinel Eftimiu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Egidijus Dičius quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, FC Tosca's Egidijus Dičius got control of the ball when Olaf Irion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wolves's Leonas Mažeika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adil Oğuzhan in the 19th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olaf Irion couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo de Sousa in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonas Mažeika saved Wolves from getting behind. Olaf Irion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Egidijus Dičius made a huge save. Olaf Irion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egidijus Dičius having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olaf Irion was the one to do the kick off. FC Tosca's Egidijus Dičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Fururia in the 51st minute of play. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Olaf Irion sped through FC Tosca's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Egidijus Dičius. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristinel Eftimiu in the 74th minute of play forced FC Tosca's goalkeeper Egidijus Dičius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, FC Tosca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Irimia to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Algitas Daškevičius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 minutes of play, Wolves's Olaf Irion made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 95th minute Cristinel Eftimiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egidijus Dičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 played minutes FC Tosca got a freekick which was hit by Romas Šimkus.
