The Zhidelyay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the game, Algirdas Birbilas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legionas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zhidelyay the free kick. Algirdas Birbilas hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Abel Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Girkantas Bikas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Jullian Elens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Girkantas Bikas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 19th minute, Konstantinas Zinkevičius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Girkantas Bikas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Girkantas Bikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantinas Zinkevičius, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Neto in the 32nd minute of play forced Legionas's goalkeeper Girkantas Bikas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Girkantas Bikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glyn Caine in the 35th minute of play. Girkantas Bikas came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Zhidelyay's Petras Bračas. But to his dismay, Petras Bračas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. After some careless play in the Legionas defense, Jim Söderqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Girkantas Bikas. The Legionas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Girkantas Bikas should have stopped the shot. After the first half Zhidelyay were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Neto made a kick off. Girkantas Bikas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-10. In the 63rd minute, Petras Bračas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Girkantas Bikas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. Zhidelyay's Evandro Maia was substituted for Audrius Rekašius. Girkantas Bikas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jullian Elens, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Girkantas Bikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Neto in the 70th minute of play. Agatas Dambauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Girkantas Bikas made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Legionas's goal looked a bit too open when Agatas Dambauskas came free, but Girkantas Bikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Girkantas Bikas came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Zhidelyay's Agatas Dambauskas. But to his dismay, Agatas Dambauskas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. Girkantas Bikas was a little too slow when Þórlaugur Vignisson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 0-15. Abel Neto had several of the Legionas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 87 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-16 score and a disappointed Girkantas Bikas as he didn't even see the shot coming. Girkantas Bikas was a little too slow when Þórlaugur Vignisson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 0-17. Abel Neto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Girkantas Bikas came out and tried to block the shot, but Abel Neto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-18 in the 95th minute. Zhidelyay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
