In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wolves's goalkeeper Leonas Mažeika, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the FK Didvieciai defense, Cristinel Eftimiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Almantas Mališka. The FK Didvieciai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Almantas Mališka should have stopped the shot. Wolves's Leonas Mažeika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heiko Wiesemann in the 26th minute of play. Heiko Wiesemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Leonas Mažeika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Algirdas Žukauskas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Leonas Mažeika made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FK Didvieciai's Stanislovas Aliukonis got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The FK Didvieciai players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wolves were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stanislovas Aliukonis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Stanislovas Aliukonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Olaf Irion kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Almantas Mališka. That made the score 0-2 in the 82 minute of play. Almantas Mališka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dovydas Aleknius in the 88th minute of the match. Cristinel Eftimiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Almantas Mališka made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wolves had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
