When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Nerijus Petukas put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Juozapas Daktaras. After some careless play in the FC Gayzunay 66 defense, Nerijus Petukas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juozapas Daktaras. The FC Gayzunay 66 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juozapas Daktaras should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute, Nerijus Petukas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juozapas Daktaras was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 30 minutes into the game, Rūtenis Leonaitis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gayzunay 66's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Didžiasalis Utd the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Gayzunay 66's Rūtenis Leonaitis got a free kick in the 30th minute. Juozapas Daktaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nerijus Petukas, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. FC Gayzunay 66's Juozapas Daktaras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nerijus Petukas in the 42nd minute of play. After 47 minutes of play FC Gayzunay 66's Rūtenis Leonaitis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vėjas Stasaitis made a kick off. The Didžiasalis Utd fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Didžiasalis Utd's Nerijus Petukas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. After a rather tough play, Didžiasalis Utd's Robertas Pelėda got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Robertas Pelėda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juozapas Daktaras was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Nerijus Petukas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nerijus Petukas really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. In the 93rd minute, Rupertas Žiogas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th match minute, Didžiasalis Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by D.J. Bomba to maneuver through the defense.
