Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) In the 4th minute Nikos Tokalidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orestis Kandarakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 played minutes B. Russel got a freekick which was hit by Markos Liberis. After 10 minutes B. Russel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nikos Politis who took care of the corner kick. Néa Alikarnassos FC's Nikos Politis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orestis Kandarakis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Paraskevas Tatsis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dimitris Peponas. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Stamatis Nomikos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dimitris Peponas. Stamatis Nomikos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When Giorgos Atmatzidis came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the B. Russel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgos Atmatzidis couldn't finish the play. Orestis Kandarakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babbis Spyridakis in the 23rd minute of play. Giorgos Anastasiou's late challenge caught a Néa Alikarnassos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Anastasiou helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, B. Russel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Anastasiou to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in B. Russel's zone, Nikos Tokalidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orestis Kandarakis came out of the goal and Nikos Tokalidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, B. Russel's Menios Georgiou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dimitris Peponas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Ntinos Kriaropoulos fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Néa Alikarnassos FC's protests and gave Ntinos Kriaropoulos a yellow card for diving instead. Ntinos Kriaropoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Stamatis Nomikos sped through Néa Alikarnassos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dimitris Peponas. 39 minutes into the match, Nikos Tokalidis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orestis Kandarakis. B. Russel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikos Tokalidis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. If Paraskevas Tatsis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nikos Tokalidis was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Néa Alikarnassos FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nikos Politis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stamatis Nomikos in the 61st minute of play forced Néa Alikarnassos FC's goalkeeper Dimitris Peponas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Stamatis Nomikos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Dimitris Peponas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Nikos Tokalidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dimitris Peponas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stamatis Nomikos in the 72nd minute of play. Paraskevas Tatsis took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dimitris Peponas. Dimitris Peponas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-2. Dimitris Peponas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menios Georgiou in the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of B. Russel booed when Néa Alikarnassos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ntinos Kriaropoulos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes, B. Russel's Emrah Rakim shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dimitris Peponas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in B. Russel reached it. B. Russel's Orestis Kandarakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save B. Russel from getting a goal against them. Dimitris Peponas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamatis Nomikos, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Dimitris Peponas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stamatis Nomikos in the 93rd minute of play. In the 98th minute, Giorgos Atmatzidis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. B. Russel fully deserved thier win.
