If Kosmas Tzorvas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakis Bourousis made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Kosmas Tzorvas sent off a good shot on target. Kosmas Tzorvas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Sakis Bourousis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Verdikoussa's Prodromos Papazoglou in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ano Skotina's goalie prevented a goal. When Minas Valkanis fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Verdikoussa's protests and gave Minas Valkanis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Verdikoussa getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Minas Valkanis hit a great ball. After 38 played minutes Iraklis Vasalas rounded Verdikoussa's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Iraklis Vasalas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Verdikoussa's Prodromos Papazoglou got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Dimitris Papadatos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdikoussa's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitris Papadatos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charis Mendrinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prodromos Papazoglou got free with Charis Mendrinos in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Verdikoussa's goal looked a bit too open when Kosmas Tzorvas came free, but Sakis Bourousis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soulis Kalenteridis charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Soulis Kalenteridis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Verdikoussa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ano Skotina:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prodromos Papazoglou got free with Charis Mendrinos in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prodromos Papazoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iraklis Vasalas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Sakis Bourousis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
