Stamatis Kalitsis struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Nikos Kavouras didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Eagle. Stamatis Mastorakis took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Argyris Markas. Argyris Markas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Giannis Nassiakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Argyris Markas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, one of Μακεδονια Ελληνικη:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's Philip Sande got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Stamatis Mastorakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's zone, Koulis Giannoulis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikos Kavouras came out of the goal and Koulis Giannoulis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th match minute, Μακεδονια Ελληνικη was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Sande to maneuver through the defense. The Eagle's Argyris Markas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save The Eagle from getting a goal against them. Nikos Kavouras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miltos Nestoriadis in the 42nd minute of the match. Philip Sande blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Argyris Markas having to make a save. Stamatis Mastorakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Argyris Markas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Koulis Giannoulis was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, The Eagle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iakovos Giotatos to maneuver through the defense. Argyris Markas came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's Giannis Nassiakos. But to his dismay, Giannis Nassiakos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Nikos Kavouras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koulis Giannoulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Nikos Kavouras made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Miltos Nestoriadis sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, Stamatis Mastorakis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Argyris Markas. The Eagle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stamatis Mastorakis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Stamatis Mastorakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Philip Sande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Sande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Μακεδονια Ελληνικη's Giannis Nassiakos got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Μακεδονια Ελληνικη fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Eagle had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
