The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sifounas FC's Sidnei Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simos Karagrigoriou in the 3rd minute of play. Sidnei Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simos Karagrigoriou in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Eutichios Karataidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Loukianos Panagoulias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ask Gustad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Loukianos Panagoulias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23rd play minutes Eutichios Karataidis shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Loukianos Panagoulias and just under the crossbar into goal. Eutichios Karataidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eutichios Karataidis scored 0-5 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Loukianos Panagoulias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Argyris Telios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sifounas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Argyris Telios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loukianos Panagoulias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Argyris Tsouloufis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. Eutichios Karataidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loukianos Panagoulias having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simos Karagrigoriou to make the kick off. When Viktoras Giotakos came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ελπις Εδεσσας-Hellas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktoras Giotakos couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ελπις Εδεσσας-Hellas's zone, Argyris Tsouloufis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Loukianos Panagoulias came out of the goal and Argyris Tsouloufis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Argyris Telios was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 63rd minute. Sifounas FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, Ελπις Εδεσσας-Hellas's Loukianos Panagoulias got control of the ball when Eutichios Karataidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Argyris Telios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Christos Vintras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ελπις Εδεσσας-Hellas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sifounas FC the free kick. Sifounas FC played a much better game than Ελπις Εδεσσας-Hellas and deserved their victory. The Ελπις Εδεσσας-Hellas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
