In the 10th minute, Alkaios Ntalaras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogenis Kalinichtas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Zacharias Stergiotis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute Eustratios Kontothodoros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charalambos Charalambidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alkaios Ntalaras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Diogenis Kalinichtas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Gournai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Konstantinidis came free, but Diogenis Kalinichtas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charalambos Charalambidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustratios Kontothodoros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thodoris Prigas got free with Charalambos Charalambidis in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Piryιla's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Konstantinos Mourouzis 27 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Apostolis Papagiannopoulos hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Zacharias Stergiotis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piryιla's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacharias Stergiotis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogenis Kalinichtas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charalambos Charalambidis was a little too slow when Konstantinos Mourouzis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 3-1. Charalambos Charalambidis came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Gournai FC's Konstantinos Mourouzis. But to his dismay, Konstantinos Mourouzis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Thodoris Prigas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gournai FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. In the 57th minute Thodoris Prigas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charalambos Charalambidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacharias Stergiotis struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Diogenis Kalinichtas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piryιla. A collision led to Piryιla getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Christos Karidis hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gournai FC fully deserved thier win.
