With a little luck, Palionéllini's Akis Veliou got control of the ball when Christos Mersinias tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palionéllini's goalkeeper Akis Veliou, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kleon Kechagias in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sotiris Kokkalas saved Kakkoulion BC from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Kakkoulion BC's Stathis Pezos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Akis Veliou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Kleon Kechagias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kakkoulion BC's Sotiris Kokkalas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vassilis Viglakis in the 86th minute of play. Sotiris Kokkalas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vassilis Viglakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
