Marinos Kazantzos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theofanis Kretsos in the 11th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Kharaktinσs BC got a freekick which was hit by Kosmas Bosis. Stathis Tirovolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akis Saltsidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kharaktinσs BC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Pantelis Liakos hit a great ball. Vaggelis Mantzios, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Akis Saltsidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Theofanis Kretsos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marinos Kazantzos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of The Legend of Koutoumoύ booed when Kharaktinσs BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kosmas Bosis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Argyris Giannakopoulos struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Stathis Tirovolas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Legend of Koutoumoύ. After a rather tough play, Kharaktinσs BC's Lefteris Kiotseridis got a free kick in the 40th minute. 41 minutes into the match, The Legend of Koutoumoύ's Vaggelis Mantzios broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 49th minute, Ntinos Evaggellidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kostas Kalomiris made a kick off. Stathis Tirovolas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argyris Giannakopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Akis Saltsidis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kostas Kalomiris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Marinos Kazantzos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Akis Saltsidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stathis Tirovolas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kostas Kalomiris helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Kostas Kalomiris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kharaktinσs BC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
