The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Larisaikos f.c.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of University of Pennsylvani:s goal. Lambis Vedinoglou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Larisaikos f.c. booed when University of Pennsylvani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lefteris Tsilikas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lefteris Kladakis during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Larisaikos f.c.'s Lefteris Kladakis got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Alketas Rapanos made a precise shot to the right of Theofanis Charalambakos. Larisaikos f.c.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Lambis Vedinoglou came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Larisaikos f.c. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lambis Vedinoglou couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lambis Vedinoglou kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vassilis Vasilopoulos. That made the score 2-1 in the 41 minute of play. Vassilis Vasilopoulos made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Diogenis Kouris sent off a good shot on target.

If Lefteris Kladakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fotis Vardopoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fotis Vardopoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Larisaikos f.c. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Fotis Vardopoulos hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Diogenis Kouris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vassilis Vasilopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lambis Vedinoglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, University of Pennsylvani's goal looked a bit too open when Lambis Vedinoglou came free, but Vassilis Vasilopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Christos Spanidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute Lambis Vedinoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vassilis Vasilopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogenis Kouris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, University of Pennsylvani's goal looked a bit too open when Lambis Vedinoglou came free, but Vassilis Vasilopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lambis Vedinoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogenis Kouris scored 4-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vassilis Vasilopoulos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lefteris Kladakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes University of Pennsylvani got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Pelekanos. After 91 played minutes, Larisaikos f.c.'s Fotis Vardopoulos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vassilis Vasilopoulos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Larisaikos f.c. reached it. Christos Spanidis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Theofanis Charalambakos having to make a save. Larisaikos f.c.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
