Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kokkinitsa's Iason Tsartsalis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lakis Giotoulis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kostas Giotos firmly grabbed it by the left post. 5 minutes into the match, Lakis Giotoulis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Kokkinitsa's Kostas Giotos. Kostas Giotos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iason Tsartsalis in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Avraam Iordanopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Kokkinitsa's Kostas Giotos got control of the ball when Lakis Giotoulis tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Giannis Psichomanis fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesimιri BC's protests and gave Giannis Psichomanis a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 played minutes Mesimιri BC got a freekick which was hit by Giannis Psichomanis. Avraam Iordanopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Karalis in the 16th minute of play. Dimitris Karalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avraam Iordanopoulos having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kokkinitsa's Theagenis Kastanis got a free kick in the 24th minute. Lakis Giotoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kostas Giotos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Kokkinitsa's zone, Giannis Psichomanis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostas Giotos came out of the goal and Giannis Psichomanis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iason Tsartsalis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Avraam Iordanopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giannis Psichomanis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostas Giotos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Lakis Giotoulis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Giotos having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Mesimιri BC's Giannis Psichomanis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Giannis Psichomanis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game Giannis Psichomanis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kokkinitsa's Kostas Giotos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Kokkinitsa defense, Lakis Giotoulis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kostas Giotos. The Kokkinitsa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kostas Giotos should have stopped the shot. Kostas Giotos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giannis Psichomanis in the 61st minute of the match. Kostas Giotos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Psichomanis's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute Giannis Psichomanis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kostas Giotos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Psichomanis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostas Giotos having to interfere. Lakis Giotoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kostas Giotos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Giannis Psichomanis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kostas Giotos. Kokkinitsa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giannis Psichomanis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Kostas Giotos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giannis Psichomanis's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 78th match minute, Kokkinitsa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stathis Chatzidimos to maneuver through the defense. Kostas Giotos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Psichomanis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mesimιri BC booed when Kokkinitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theagenis Kastanis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kokkinitsa's goalkeeper Kostas Giotos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Psichomanis in the 92nd minute of play forced Kokkinitsa's goalkeeper Kostas Giotos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Mesimιri BC were the better team. Mesimιri BC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
