In the 3rd minute Demis Koboropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Karageorgopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alekos Karageorgopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Pagouras in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th match minute, Asteras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimosthenis Kouroupetsoglou to maneuver through the defense. Andreas Pagouras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Asteras FC's Alekos Karageorgopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demis Koboropoulos in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Lefkαda booed when Asteras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prodromos Telakoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demis Koboropoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Lefkαda's Demis Koboropoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alekos Karageorgopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Asteras FC booed when Lefkαda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavlos Paloubas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Asteras FC's Michalis Stamatelos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 30th minute Demis Koboropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Karageorgopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tasos Gaitatzis fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lefkαda's protests and gave Tasos Gaitatzis a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Lefkαda got a freekick which was hit by Tasos Gaitatzis. A collision led to Asteras FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Telis Katsiabis hit a great ball. If Demis Koboropoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alekos Karageorgopoulos came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Lefkαda's Andreas Pagouras. But to his dismay, Andreas Pagouras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Asteras FC's Alekos Karageorgopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Pagouras in the 44th minute of play. The Asteras FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lefkαda were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Andreas Pagouras made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Nikolas Bosoulas suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 51 minutes of play Asteras FC's Telis Katsiabis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Nikos Papachronopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asteras FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikos Papachronopoulos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kyriakos Sotiropoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kyriakos Sotiropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Papachronopoulos in the 68th minute of play. Asteras FC's Alekos Karageorgopoulos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Asteras FC from getting a goal against them. If Demis Koboropoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tasos Gaitatzis kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Nikos Papachronopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
