In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apollon Apollonias's goalkeeper Panos Sioufas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stamatis Tsiligiridis during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stamatis Tsiligiridis kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Eutichios Christoulis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panos Sioufas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aggelos Roros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Apollon Apollonias's zone, Aggelos Roros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Panos Sioufas came out of the goal and Aggelos Roros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Apollon Apollonias's Anastasios Papachronopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 47 minutes into the game, Filippos Kastanakoglou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apollon Apollonias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Foiníkion BC the free kick.

The wind increased when Anastasios Papachronopoulos made the kick off in the second half. Eutichios Christoulis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Panos Sioufas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Foiníkion BC's Aggelos Roros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Panos Sioufas. That made the score 1-2 after 54 minutes of play. Anastasios Papachronopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Markos Kouromichelakis having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikiforos Sergakis during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nikiforos Sergakis hit a great ball. Markos Kouromichelakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasios Papachronopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 88 played minutes Foiníkion BC got a freekick which was hit by Stamatis Tsiligiridis. After 89 played minutes, Apollon Apollonias's Eleftherios Karakostas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Markos Kouromichelakis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Apollon Apollonias reached it. In the 92nd minute of the match Dimitris Vandis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Markos Kouromichelakis skillfully saved the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
