The supporters of Apollon Apollonias booed when Paris Saint Germain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loukas Prokopiou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Apollon Apollonias's Eleftherios Karakostas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thomas Raptis charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Raptis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Apollon Apollonias getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Thomas Raptis hit a great ball. Thomas Raptis was shown his second yellow card after 10 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 10 played minutes Apollon Apollonias got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Raptis. In the 11th minute of the match Petros Kioumourtzoglou sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Panos Sioufas skillfully saved the ball. Periklis Valianatos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Konstantinos Grigoriadis made a huge save. 0-1 became the score in the 18th minute when Iosif Konstantinidis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Iosif Konstantinidis came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Paris Saint Germain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iosif Konstantinidis couldn't finish the play. Filippos Kastanakoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. If Panagiotis Bobolis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 25 played minutes Apollon Apollonias got a freekick which was hit by Anastasios Papachronopoulos. When Menelaos Trichias came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Paris Saint Germain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Menelaos Trichias couldn't finish the play. Panos Sioufas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panagiotis Bobolis's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Iosif Konstantinidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Sioufas having to interfere. If Panagiotis Bobolis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Filippos Kastanakoglou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panagiotis Bobolis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Panos Sioufas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Periklis Valianatos made the kick off in the second half. Panagiotis Bobolis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Panos Sioufas having to interfere. Menelaos Trichias struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Panos Sioufas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paris Saint Germain. Panos Sioufas came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Paris Saint Germain's Panagiotis Bobolis. But to his dismay, Panagiotis Bobolis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Panos Sioufas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panagiotis Bobolis in the 66th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Thodoris Kefaloukos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paris Saint Germain and the Apollon Apollonias players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Menelaos Trichias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute of the match, Panagiotis Bobolis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Panos Sioufas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Paris Saint Germain players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
