Xνdhia BC's Kostas Chatzinikolaou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michalis Georgeas in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Xνdhia BC's goal looked a bit too open when Michalis Georgeas came free, but Kostas Chatzinikolaou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Kostas Chatzinikolaou managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Supernova's Alexandros Melogiannis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 22 minutes into the match, Supernova's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandros Savvakis came free, but Ermis Tsiantakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Xνdhia BC's goal looked a bit too open when Michalis Georgeas came free, but Kostas Chatzinikolaou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Supernova defense, Miltiadis Mouratis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermis Tsiantakis. The Supernova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermis Tsiantakis should have stopped the shot. Alexandros Savvakis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ermis Tsiantakis having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Miltiadis Mouratis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xνdhia BC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miltiadis Mouratis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermis Tsiantakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Supernova getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Pantelis Stamatelos hit a great ball. Alexandros Melogiannis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kostas Chatzinikolaou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evripidis Zaimis hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Alexandros Melogiannis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kostas Chatzinikolaou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After 42 minutes, Evripidis Zaimis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Xνdhia BC and the Supernova players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andreas Krevetzakis hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Alexandros Savvakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandros Melogiannis to strike the kick off in the second half. If Alexandros Melogiannis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Supernova booed when Xνdhia BC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandros Savvakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kostas Chatzinikolaou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandros Melogiannis, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Supernova fans cheered their team off the field, for while Xνdhia BC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
